Hello everybody! We meet again after a long..............long time!
School has been a lot of fun and I love junior high! I liked elementary school, but junior high is a lot more fun. There is more to do and a lot to learn! I started out the year in Math 7 which was fun, but way to easy. We did the same stuff we did in 6th grade and before. Mrs. K was very nice, but I really wanted to move to Pre-Algebra, so after the first quarter Mom and Dad asked Mr. P (dean of students) if I could move. It took a little bit of conviction though, because I was one low for the state tests to be in Pre-Algebra. But, after Mrs. K telling them that I should probably move, they let me! So now I am in Miss. F******'s class. She is also nice, but unfortunately Pre-Algebra is still a bit easy for me, but I will probably just stay in it, or else next year I will have to go to the high school for math.
P.E. is fun! The only non-fun part is that we have run a certain amount before we start the fun part of P.E. The first month of school was 2.5 minutes, the next 3, 3.5, etc...now we are at 4.5 minutes which isn't that bad. I am not looking forward to the last month of school where it's about 8 minutes. Ughhh! Right now I am in a Ping Pong unit which is a lot of fun! I am partners with Abby who is very sweet and a lot of fun to hang out with! So far we have won all of our games, so if we win the game on Monday we will be the Ping Pong Champions!!! So, wish us luck! Along side P.E. is health which is fine, it's a bit boring sometimes, but sometimes interesting. Luckily we haven't gotten to Human Growth and Development yet! That is not very fun and this year it is with both boys and girls! Darn.
Orchestra, as you can guess is not very fun. Miss. M****/D*** is not very nice to me according to what happened with Sam, so my orchestra time is a bit draining. I have a lot of friends in Orchestra, though, which is good! And as of now I am last chair in her orchestra, which is a bit contrasting as I am Concert Master of the Youth Philharmonic! I don't have much to say about her class!
Social Studies is pretty fun! We are learning about geography, maps, Canada, etc... It's a bit boring, but Mrs. Br******** is a lot of fun and tells quite a few interesting stories about her life! We also have Junior Achievement in her class which teaches you about other countries' currency, businesses, and stuff like that. The man who teaches us always brings in a big bag of candy, and if you answer a question correctly you get one or two pieces of candy! He is cool, and that is always an interesting part of class.
Science is interesting and fun! Our teacher, Mr. Sp*********, is a new teacher, (his first year teaching is this year) so he is quite often nervous. He sometimes loses control of the class, but otherwise he is a great, very well at describing things, teacher! We are working on a lab right now, and later this month we are going to build bridges with popsicle sticks!
Choir is a lot of fun! I love singing, and the songs that we sing are always fun. I am also in Chamber Choir, which you auditioned for. I made it in, so you go there at 7:00 every Tuesday and Thursday morning and practice then. We get to perform at a town Christmas Festival! Izzy is in my choir so it is cool. It is funny, though, because she is an alto, and I am a soprano, so I always have to save a seat for her opposite mine in the alto section.
Language Arts (L.A.) is awesome! Our teacher Mrs. S**** is a great teacher. She is great at making things interesting, explaining things, and motivating you. Even though she gives us 30 to 60 minutes of homework everyday, she is still my favorite teacher, (asides mom :). We do a lot of stuff in L.A.! We have read two books, Last Book in the Universe and The Outsiders. They were both good, but I especially liked The Outsiders. It was interesting, a little sad, but full of good lessons and motives. We have just recently started an assignment where we have to pick a text that has impacted our lives in some way, and then write a letter to the author explaining why. Then, all of the L.A. teachers take these letters and send them somewhere, where they judge which letter wins for states, and then if you win for state you move on to nationals. It's pretty cool!
Last time when dad went to Germany he brought Sam and I back each a little two inch ostriches. They are very cute! I put mine on my backpack for this year, and about a month ago I introduced him to Odin (a nice boy who a know) and we named him Gary. Ever since then, everybody loves him. If I give him to Ally in the morning, Odin will have him in 3rd period, Will will then have him from 5th to 7th period, where either Odin or I will have him, and then, sometimes Odin will take him home overnight! Everybody always asks, "Where's Gary", or "How's Gary," "Can I have Gary?" It's actually sometimes very comedic, but fun too!
Hopefully I will write soon!

P.S. Here are some of my favorite songs!
