Our Trip To The Surounding Areas!

We had a lot of fun on our trip to Mahableshwar and Panchgani!
And to start it of Leigh and Benjamin's driver decided to ride a horse!
That's how our trip began!
Then we saw a camel that you could ride! Nothing out of the ordinary in the least little way!
After bargaining for a little while we reached a price of 300 rupees for a little ride; as the owner called it!

Then, we climbed on! I got to sit on it's hump. Not the most compfortable place in the world!
Now I see why the wise men all had their own camels!
                                                        It was an amazing experience!
                                                                              Wow!
Now, we're thinking of buying a camel!
                                                                     Or maybe two!
Or maybe none!  Look at the size of these things!
We were in the desert! Next to a camel!
In India safety is always first!  These railings prove it, not even a cinch dangerous!
Benjamin was not in the best mood and did not want his picture taken so mommy said "We'll just take your mommy's picture then." Hee Hee
We also tried a very VERY good roasted corn sprinkled with chili powder and lemon!
On our way back we discovered that camels like corn cobs!  Especially ones with a bit of spice on them!  Since they're Indian camels of course!
He looked very snotty after that!
Theo was quite a hit especially to our driver!  He was helping people help hold his leash!!!
Then we headed to our hotel,  but first stopped to walk around the small town. Guess what we saw--a huge well!
Some ladies selling grapes and strawberries!
We stopped to look at some monkeys who were sitting at the side of the road!
                                                           Looking at the camera!
                                                        Out of Benjamin's car window!

Then we went to see the sun set!  We saw that the wild west was no longer wild but the wild east was!
I decided to take the sun away from everyone and have it for myself,
and share it with the rearing horse!
We were crowded around by people and Santosh took our picture!
Then we got to the hotel and since we were foreigners they decided that a gazebo would be the perfect place for us to eat dinner!

The man that waited on us took a picture!  He stayed in there the whole time and would laugh and ask questions when we talked about things! Daddy began to wonder if he was part of the family!!!
The next morning mom and I decided to try the double cycle! It was fun!
                                                                      Awesome!
It was quite a nice hotel!
We played on the pretend horse!
                                                                        Horsey!
                                                                      It was fun!
                                                           Then we had breakfast~
                                                           It was interesting, but fun!
I had lots and lots of strawberries!
Everyone did as you can see!
Santosh was a great help!  He had a good time too!
Benjamin and I decided to ride the horse!
It was fun and he liked it!
Sam and Daddy decided to try the bike too!
And we rode the horse! Sam got on too!
                                                            Then we went boating!
Sam and I did a lot of the paddling!
Benjamin and Leigh were just watching for the moment!
Benjamin was looking for the fishes! (Sam is in the back)
Daddy and I heading for the shore!
Benjamin and Leigh decided to take a turn and got us quickly to shore!
                                                               Sam helped too!
When we got of shore Mom and Dad were asked if they could take pictures with them!
                                                                         And we did!
Then we went to pick strawberries right before we went home!
It was fun we got 16 pounds of strawberries!!!!
                                                                 Benjamin helped too!
It was a lot of fun!!!
There was big red juicy ones!!!
And we got a big cabbage!
Then we stopped and got sugar cane juice!
                                                                          Amazing!
Theo had a good trip to!

It was quite an exciting trip!  I will want to take another one eventually but right now I'm glad to be home!

  1. Hi Mak!
Yes we did have a lot of fun but it is nice to be home, I agree. It's really funny how the Oakwood has become 'home' to us...:) I think that we should still get a camel, even though they're huge! I think that Theo was glad to be home as well...poor puppy had a bad start to the trip!

  3. What an awesome trip you guys had. Thanks for sharing the pictures, they're great!!! You should frame the camel pic of you and put it in your room. It's pretty cool. Not many people can say that they've rode on a camel before.
