WOW!!!

Wow! This summer has gone by like lighting, we’ve done so much it’s crazy!

First off, we ended school on Friday and then started Drama Camp the next Monday.  So it was basically like going from one week of school to the next.  It was a lot of fun. We hung out with some of our friends and learned a lot about drama in general.  We were performing “Annie Junior” and it turned out really well!  It was a great experience, and I am looking forward to next year where they are doing the “Susacle” by Dr. Seuss.

After drama camp we left for Chicago where my dad had a business class.  We shopped, went to coffee shops and read, walked around Chicago, went to Navy Pier, and to the beach.  We also went to a really cool, old library that had two big owls on the front and it was about 9 levels.  While we were there they were holding an orchestra/choir concert in Millennium Park for free!  So of course we stayed and it was really good!

After going to Chicago, I had one week off while Sam was at Belen Blank, a camp that she was nominated for by three of her teachers.  During this time I was reading Harry Potter!!!!! I read the first two books in almost a week!  They are amazing, I just finished the series and I am re-reading the sixth one (my favorite one!)
When Sam was done with Belen Blank we came home for one day and then we were off to Minnesota to visit my grandparents, while my mom and dad went on an anniversary trip to the north east.  We were able to play with cows, chase chickens, cook (a lot), read, do math, violin, watch TV, and relax at their house and it was very nice.  The most fun though was going to my cousins’ grandma’s house on a lake and hang out there.  It was so much fun; we swam, went on the pontoon, and for the first time ever ride a jet ski and go tubing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was sooooooooo much fun, I am addicted now!

Then when we arrived back from my grandparents we headed straight for an AWESOME Strings Camp and I had that every morning for four hours.  We played a very cool piece and had lots of fun working in our quartets/quintets/septets!  I also got to hang out with some of my great friends, and it was A LOT of fun! I am so excited for next year and am looking forward to five more years of it!

Then finally we had a free week until Friday.  During this time I went to the pool with a few friends (including my sister) and had a lot of fun.  Then on Friday we went to visit some of our old neighbors, Megan, Hannah, and Lauren.  And with us came Lila, Lauren’s friend.  It was a blast, we did a lot of stuff including; playing with water guns, water balloons, the hose, playing capture the flag with and without water guns, watching a few movies/TV shows and just hanging out, it was a lot of fun! Thank you for having us guys!!! We had a lot of fun!

Then we came back home and now we are only one day from leaving for Europe!!!!!! We are very excited to be adding a fourth continent to our list!  Only three more to go, although I think it might be a little while before we make it to Antarctica!  Well, that’s about it for now, I will keep you posted about Europe.  Two days after we return from Europe we start School!  Wow!
Goodbye for now,
Mak

  2. Wow! Sounds like a great summer filled with wonderful memories! Have a great trip to Europe. We were just in London recently and think it is cool that you will be walking on the same sidewalks we walked on. Okay, Benjamin was on his roller/scooter. Maybe you will get to see or even hold the royal baby...okay, that is probably stretching it a bit. Hugs! - Leigh
